VISITING BARTLETT BIBLE CHURCH
Bartlett Bible Church is a growing community of friends from various spiritual backgrounds who are becoming one in Christ. We are thankful to be as a congregation serving as one church with Glen Ellyn Bible Church and Living Hope Chapel (Wheaton). We’d love to have you join us. Here’s what you might expect:
SOME HELPFUL DETAILS FOR YOUR FIRST VISIT!
Our Sunday morning services are around 70 minutes. On the typical Sunday you'll experience:
A parking attendant. They will guide you easily to one of our designated Guest parking spots.
A friendly welcome. Our greeters are volunteers who were once guests like you.
A cup of fresh coffee. Our coffee game is strong! We also have a variety of teas and condiments available. Please assist young children.
A time of singing. We sing modern worship mixed with the occasional hymn. Our emphasis for worship is on authenticity, not performance. That said, we are a church that sings.
A moment of fellowship. “Take a moment to turn and greet the people around you.” Again, many of our congregation were once visitors as well.
A sermon. Our seminary trained pastors all work together on preparing for Sundays, but each sermon is locally sourced. We will take time to explore the Word of God, but not have you overwhelmed with exposition. Our sermons are biblically based, applicable to modern life and gospel-centered. An offering. We believe that generosity is one of the ways that respond to God’s grace, but don't feel obligated to give until you’re ready.
Communion. Each week we celebrate communion (eucharist) together. Our practice of communion is like an open table; all who profess Jesus as Savior ad Lord may participate. Please take elements at the front door (gluten-free is also available) and assist your children as you prefer.
A chance to connect. Before or after the service, make your way to a Pastor, or the Welcome Table to introduce yourself. We also serve fresh donuts and other snacks. We can give you more information about our church and help you find a place to connect.
BRINGING KIDS?
BIRTH - 5TH GRADE
Our Nursery is located off the back of the sanctuary. It’s staffed with trained volunteers, or you may sit in there with your baby. We offer Kids Ministry on the lower level for preschoolers through 5th grade. You can expedite the check-in process and help us serve you best if you provide us with some information here.
MIDDLE & HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS
We regularly have Youth Bible Study hosted by local college students on Sunday mornings during the sermon time, and connections events as we’re building up our ministry. Check the bulletin or listen for an announcement after the greeting time.
High School Students who attend Bartlett Bible Church also attend Reckless Youth at Glen Ellyn Bible Church on Sunday nights from 5:30-9:00pm. Our Jr. High Students attend Recess in Glen Ellyn on Wednesday evenings from 7:00-9:00pm. Both offer great ministry to grow in Christian friendship and faith. What should I expect?
We'd love to have you join us on a Sunday. There are no expectations for anyone to look a certain way, everyone is welcome! Most people are dressed casually.
Can I attend if_______?
The short answer is, "Yes, absolutely!" Regardless of your background, beliefs or what you think about Christians—fill in the blank with whatever you like—you're welcome at Bartlett Bible Church. Our mission is to help others follow Jesus!
