Early believers could not imagine life apart from a commitment to others in a local faith community--a church. Those who believed in Christ anticipated being identified and involved with other followers of Jesus.
At Bartlett Bible Church, we believe it's important to join a church because it is a public display of commitment to other believers like we find in the New Testament. It's a statement of willingness to be held accountable and to sacrificially work twoard a common vision; a formal recognition of the need we have, as individuals, for the influence and encoruagement of other Christians.
Membership is a public declaration of one's commitment to support the vision and mission of this particular church. Knowing we have the support and commitment of the membership, church leaders are then better able to plan for the short and long term.
